Trailer Man

I am completely fascinated by Ezra's little brain. It was (and still is) so fun to see Darcy's personality and interests develop, and it's so fun to see just how very different Ezra is. He loves everything that goes. He loves airplanes, helicopters, cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, bikes, etc. At the moment he is especially interested in trailers. He notices trailers everywhere and  I am finding him trying to hook things up with trailers all around our house. I seriously love it.

This was one of the first ones I found. Darcy's Barbie RV pulling this bead necklace trailer.

The cozy coupe hooked up to the wagon. Darcy ran in the house laughing to tell me about this one.

The "sluggie buggie" with a trailer. I actually ended up finishing this one. Ezra had been working on it for a while and was getting frustrated. He came and asked me for help. He was so happy with the finished product. (I was pretty proud of my engenuity too.) :)

He will search things all over to find any sort of connecting point. This car was pulling a zip tie.

So last weekend my family was at my house and I was telling them about Ezra and his trailers. We had just gotten him a bike that morning, and someone mentioned that he needed a trailer for his new bike. I said that that would make him very happy. We moved on and I didn't think about it again. A few days later we went to my parents' house for the day and Nick told me to bring Ezra's bike. When we got there this adorable little trailer was waiting for Ezra to hook up to his bike - hand crafted by Nick! Ezra loves it! I love it too, and I thought it was the sweetest thing in the world for Nick to do that for Ezra. I have asked a few times since we brought it home if he wants to ride his bike without the trailer on it, and he absolutely does not. Funny little trailer man.

Ashley's Birthday

My family went bowling again this year for Ashley's 13th birthday. The last couple times we have gone bowling I have spent most of my time worrying about taking pictures, that never turn out, and it drives my kids a little bit crazy, so I decided to forget the bowling pictures this year. I just think those little bowling shoes are soo cute, so it's hard to resist!

I am a seriously uncomfortable pregnant lady at the moment, so I wasn't even sure if I was really going to bowl or not. I decided I would at least try it. I couldn't make my normal, nearly perfect, bowling form work out (HA!), so I ended up wobbling up to the line and awkwardly dropping the ball every time. Lo and behold, I ended up crushing my competition! I bowled a 167! I am usually just excited if I can break 100. My mom told me she did her best bowling when we she pregnant too. Who would have thought?!

After bowling everyone came back to our house for cake and ice cream and presents.
My parents lighting the candles. This was right before my dad almost caught Matthew's clothes on fire. Haha.

Everyone likes a good picture of themselves blowing out candles right?

Then the little boys got a turn to blow out the candles (with a little help from Ashley and Haley obviously).

Ashley joined the kids on the trampoline for cake and ice cream.

My dad saw me walk in with the camera, so of course he had to strike this amazing pose.

Haley got Ashley some awesome mustaches which she looks really amazing in! :)

 I love this picture.

 And this one.

I think this was right after Matthew sang a Happy Birthday solo for Ashley. So cute.

Preschool Fieldtrip to the Temple

Last week we got to go with Darcy and her preschool class to visit the temple grounds. They had fun running around off the grounds a little bit before we went over to the temple. They had a little lesson about the temple, which I know nothing about because I was off chasing Ezra. It was beautiful outside, but pretty cold. I love that we have a temple so close to us!

We gathered for a little snack when we were done.

Timer

A couple Sundays ago, while Drew was at a meeting, I was trying to figure out how to work the timer on my camera. The kids (mainly Darcy really) and I were having fun playing around with getting pictures of ourselves and we ended up with a few cute ones.

Darcy loved to be the one to press the button and hurry over to get in the picture.

We took the camera outside and tried a few more. Ezra was mostly done with the whole thing, but Darcy thought these pictures of the two of us were so fun. I love that genuine smile on her cute little face in this one.

This picture just cracks me up. This is what it's really like trying to get Ezra in a picture. Haha!

Nick & Alyssa's Wedding

On March 1st my brother Nick married a girl we all love. We are so excited to have Alyssa as part of our family and we are so excited for these two! They were married in the Idaho Falls temple on a lovely blizzardy morning. :)

Right after pictures a bunch of us piled into the visitors center to figure out where to go next. My Grandma was talking to baby Jase and he was smiling SO big at her! It was adorable. The pictures with the biggest smiles were blurry unfortunately, but this one is still cute.

That night we headed to their reception at the church Alyssa grew up going to. I have never seen an LDS church gym transformed so beautifully! Ezra and Drew were being so cute together.

Two weekends later they had their reception in Mattawa. My mom worked so hard and pulled off another beautiful reception. Drew and I got to spend a good part of the evening talking to Alyssa's siblings and their spouses. They are such a great group. We are excited that Nick gets to be a part of that family too.

A friend in my parents' ward made the delicious desserts. They were soo yummy!

It took a while to help these boys figure out how to put their arms around each other, but after they figured it out they stayed that way for a while after we took the picture.
