December Fun

Some pictures of our Christmas season fun:
We have a picture like this of just Darcy and Ezra on our wall and Parks loves to look at it and talk about the lights. I thought it would be fun to recreate it with him in it.

We've heard a lot about the reindeer at Beaver Bark but had never been to see them until this year. The kids were pretty excited.

A big part of why we decided to go this year was because we couldn't make it to our ward Christmas party to see Santa, and we knew we could catch him at Beaver Bark. Darcy and Ezra were nervous, but no one was quite as worried as Parks! This picture makes me want to laugh and cry at the same time.

Our little home town had its first lighted Christmas parade and my dad had an entry we just couldn't miss. My boys, and even Darcy to a certain extent, and Haley's boys are all really into the Planes movie. So for their entertainment my dad and brothers turned a portable toilet into Dusty Crophopper and flew him around with the excavator for the parade. The parade was really small, and that was easily the biggest hit of the parade. The kids loved it, and so did I.

Then everyone moved to the Park for a little Christmas gathering. My mom led their ward choir in a few really beautiful songs. No one lasted too long at that gathering though because it was so cold!

Yesterday we got our kids all dressed up in their new Christmas duds for church. We were a little later than usual so I took 20 seconds and took their picture. We had to laugh when we looked back and noticed Ezra's amazing pose.

Winter Dance Showcase

Darcy had a winter recital this year, and I thought it was such a fun show. She danced to "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas"which we have now listened to a hundred times at our house. I kind of failed at pictures this year, but I snapped this one as we were headed out the door when the program was over.
