Darcy's First Day of Preschool

We are doing a little preschool co-op for Darcy with five of our friends. Because of her history with separation anxiety I was pretty worried about convincing her to go, but she has gone twice now and has had no problem at all. I am so relieved and excited for her. She is loving it and learning a lot.

She loves carrying her school supplies around in her back pack.

Soccer

Drew has been having fun playing on his work soccer league again this past couple months, and the kids have been having fun getting as dirty as possible while we watch.

Slip N Slide

The other day I thought I would try to spice things up, and I attempted to make a slip n slide for the kids. I was sure it was going to be a huge hit, but it turns out the kids haven't quite figured out how to throw themselves into a slide yet. I showed them a couple really awesome slides first, but it didn't help much. They still had lots of fun playing in the water and attempting to slide though. I sure am going to miss summer.

More Boating

The weather seems to have gone from really hot to cold  suddenly, and we are sad to have our summer boating days behind us already. We had so much fun on the water with friends and family this summer.
Our good friends came out with us and we got to see some skiing for a change.

The kids had fun playing on the back of the boat and in the water.

Ashley and I went tubing with Darcy and Ezra.

Melissa took her kids tubing at first. Eventually the kids ditched the adults and did some tubing by themselves.

 A couple cool dudes.

I had lots of pictures of Drew with his tongue out. He had no idea he was doing it. :)

 Jack

Darcy and Ezra found these melted otter pops in my bag that they tried desperately to get into, to no avail.

The last time we went out my mom came out too. Ezra kept running to the front and launching himself at her. I thought this was such a cute picture.

My 28th Birthday

Last year I was sad about turning 27, but I've made a little switcheroo and decided I am just going to be really awesome at being 28 and I'm going to try to embrace my new number every year from here on out! Haha. I told Drew I didn't want any parties this summer, because we had too much going on. So we were going with that. Then the night before my birthday my mom offered to bring us dinner and cupcakes to celebrate, and I am never going to say no to that of course!
My mom brought us homemade chicken noodle soup which is one of my favorites. She has also been experimenting with cupcakes lately, and she is getting so good! She brought my favorite concoction, chocolate with raspberry filling. Yummo!

I am really not very good at blowing out lots of candles, so maybe we should just stick with one for the rest of my birthdays. :)

Delicious I tell you!

I almost forgot to mention that I was foolish and opened a package that came to our door without paying attention to who specifically it was for or the fact that my birthday was coming up. So I was surprised a couple week early with a fancy new camera from Drew. I am hoping some day I can figure out how to work it!! :)

Kevin & Jamie's Wedding

A few weeks ago we got to go to Leavenworth for Drew's brother Kevin's wedding. Drew's parents got a cabin for us all to stay together for a few days before the wedding and we had such a fun time. I'm sad my kids don't get to see more of these cousins because they had lots of fun together.

The wedding was really beautiful and we are excited to have a new sister-in-law! I am sad to say I don't have any pictures of the bride and groom, because I was busy chasing kids (seriously running around chasing Ezra) but they looked so great. Jamie made such a beautiful bride.

The kids having breakfast together one morning.

We went boating on Lake Wenatchee. Sharee skied and amazed us with her skills.

Bryce wakeboarded. Bryce and Sharee haven't skied or wakeboarded for years, but you would never have known it.

Drew wakeboarded too. I just thought the rope looked kind of cool in this picture.

Case and Darcy hanging out on the boat.

 Poser.

The experience tubing with Case got Darcy hooked.

Just like everything other trip, Ezra was not getting enough sleep.

Drew was a good sport and went hot-tubbing with Darcy and Case.

Justin and Drew playing ladder ball at the wedding with Jamie's little boy Brayden.

The kids spent lots of time running up and down this ramp. Who knew that would be such a hit?

Bryce took some shots of our family for us.

Misty curled Darcy's hair and I thought she looked so darling all dressed up. I had her come out and do a little photo shoot with me, but she wasn't that into it.

She preferred this kind of pose. :)

We only really saw the town as we drove through on our way out. I would love to go back some day and spend a little more time checking out the town.
