Cheesecake Factory/Breakdancing!

Wednesday was my friend Rachael's birthday and a few of us took her to the Cheesecake Factory to celebrate. I had only ever had cheesecake there, but this time I ate there and the food was soo good. Of course the cheesecake was superb too. We sat there and talked for two hours and it was so much fun to hear fun stories from the girls. Happy Birthday Rachael!!
On Tuesday Step Up 2 came out on video. I hadn't seen it yet but all the girls were telling me that it was amazing so Heidi rented it on that morning and we got together and watched it that afternoon. The dancing was great! Just like almost every other dance movie the acting wasn't the greatest, but the dancing made the movie worth it for sure...I thought so anyway! :) After the movie we were feeling inspired and decided we should try to copy some of the breakdance moves from the show. It was so funny watching each other attempt those crazy moves. It was tons of fun though and my arms just got over being sore from it!

Posing with our cheesecake. Rachael got a candle on hers!

Tiffany must just be an amazing photographer because I'm sure this was only held for the smallest instant possible before I came crashing to the ground.

Heidi is in pink. I think she picked it up the fastest. Mindy is in red and unfortunately I think this was the best picture I got of her and it looks like she has the face plant down. :)

This was definitely more typical. All of us in a pile on the floor. Branae (in black) developed a technique that made it much easier than how we had been trying it. She is truly a breakdancer at heart. :)

Vacation!

Drew's parents came to visit us this past week and the few days we spent with them were packed with adventures. Here in Nashville we went to Andrew Jackson's farm/home and toured downtown. Then we went to Pigeon Forge which is about 3 hours away for a few days. We went to a comedy/dinner show, played some laser tag and played in a hands-on museum. We went to Dollywood on the 4th and went to some shows there and rode some rides. Drew and Neil went on two different roller coasters and for the third one I finally broke down and went with Drew. I hate roller coasters! The truth is that after they're done I think I kind of had fun, but the anticipation leading up to it almost kills me (I know that will definitely surprise some of you). The next day we went white water rafting which was so much fun. It was raining and cold when we got there but right as we got on the water the sun came out and it ended up being a really beautiful day. We saw a few people get thrown out of their rafts from hitting big rocks and I felt lucky that we had a really experienced guide who didn't let that happen to us. After that we went to the Great Smokies National Park and went on a hay ride. We thought we were going to see some bears, but unfortunately none showed. We were all sad that we didn't get to see any bears, but the hay ride was still fun and it was so pretty up there. We probably did something else but I'm not coming up with anything at the moment. Anyway, it was so fun to have them here. They always show us a great time! It was nice for Drew to have a couple days off especially because he hates where they're knocking right now. I was happy he had some time off to spend with me too! Warning: Lots of pictures ahead!

Andrew Jackson's home.

Andrew Jackson's wife had this amazing garden. After she died Andrew Jackson made sure it was always kept up. It was so beautiful.

Drew took this picture of his parents. Typical for them. Becky in the lead, Neil coming eventually. :)

At Dollywood we ate lunc at a place where this crazy chicken lady performs while you eat. She put this rooster hat on Drew and made him do this crazy rooster mating dance. It was interesting.......

Drew and Neil riding the first rollercoaster. They're in the very front.

Posing in front of the Dollywood sign. Check out my bright pink crocs. Drew hates them. :) But they saved my feet.
Posing again.

Basketball & Barbeque

I thought it was time to make it so that crazy before picture wasn't the first thing you saw when you opened our blog. That was scary. Yesterday our office had a big barbeque while we played volleyball. It was so much fun and the food was so amazing! We had steak & veggie skewers, barbequed corn on the cob, baked potatoes, and watermelon. Delicious!!

Friday the guys decided to have a little basketball tournament. It was so hot outside that morning. I was dying and I was just sitting on the side. I don't know how they survived running around the basketball court.

Devouring our yummy corn!

Some of the chefs (I only helped shop and cut, not cook.) Mindy, Me, Heidi, & Branae. Look at those shish-ka-bobs! They were so beautiful.

Some of the guys ended up playing this game while they waited for their turn at volleyball. Basically they just tried to push each other off the pipe they were standing on. Here are Drew & Kody taking their turn.

New Do!

By request I am posting pictures of my new do. My friend Mindy cut my hair off this past Friday and I am really loving it. I don't know if most people will even notice the difference but she really cut off quite a bit of hair. Its A-line so there's more gone in the back than the front. I decided a really nasty before picture was necessary because that's how they always do it in magazines and on TV. Prepare to we wowed!! :)

You can see how horrible all that nasty hair was making me feel in this before picture! (I really debated about whether or not I was brave enough to post this beauty.)

Much happier with the new bob.

The side view so you can really experience the essence of the A-line.

3 Years And No End In Sight!

Well everyone else did it so I'm going to have an anniversary post. It has been a very fabulous three years for us. I really can't believe how fast it has gone. Yesterday Drew had a day off and we ran all over the place all day long. First we went golfing which was really fun. The weather was amazing, low 80's, no humidity, slight breeze...perfect. We went to panera bread for lunch, then we went to a movie, then to dinner at this aquarium restaurant, and then to the Cheesecake Factory for dessert. So basically the name of the game was a day where I didn't have to cook anything and we could eat more than any human being ever should. I loved it. It was so nice to have Drew with me for the day. I wish we could do it more often. Here are some pictures to celebrate!

The only wedding picture I have on this computer. Not my favorite, but it will do.

On the beach on the 4th of July. (Becky working on her brain age beside us)

Really excited about the easter eggs! (Notice the psychotic look from me)

Waiting for our turn and looking oh so sporty!

Dinner at the aquarium place. You can sort of see the fish swimming around behind us.

CMA Fest!!

This weekend is CMA Fest. Last night I went to one of the concerts with some of the girls. It was soo much fun! The performers were so amazing. 11 different people performed and all of them were good but there were definitely some highlights. The most exciting were Miranda Lambert, Josh Turner, Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, and Keith Urban. Julianne Huff was one of the other performers. She is on dancing with the stars and has just decided to be a singer too so she just sang one song. She is LDS but she certainly wasn't dressed like it which always drives me crazy. Come on people, REPRESENT! I'm just so sick of that kind of thing...ya know. Anyway, the concert was extremely exciting. We started way up in the nose-bleeds but we worked our way down to the bottom for Faith and Keith Urban. It was much better closer. Carrie Underwood has the most beautiful voice in the world, Josh Turner can hit the lowest notes in the world, Faith Hill was so beautiful and she has always been my favorite so it was amazing to see her in real life, and Keith Urban was so cool and the most amazing performer and guitar player ever! I wish you all could have been there. It was a blast!

More Volleyball!

I finally got to play! :) Sorry about having another volleyball post, but we play a lot here and so far its one of my very favorite things about this summer. The first picture is our group of APX wives. Big group but I can think of at least five that weren't even there. We have to be the biggest group of wives in all of APX. It's so fun to have so many fun girls to hang out with. The second picture is of Jamie and I battling at the net. While we were playing Kylie found a pile of silly string and couldn't get enough of it (third picture). The fourth picture is Drew and Conrad going up for the double block. And the fifth picture is of Drew killing it! I love volleyball! Haley, come join us!! :)
